Notifications

What notifications are​

Notifications are the messages Cognivo sends you. A wallet you track made a move, a check you asked for finished, or something changed on your account. They arrive on their own, so you do not have to keep opening the app to see whether anything happened.

  1. Select Sign in to open your Cognivo account and load your alerts, updates and account activity.
  2. New to Cognivo? Select Create account, and your notifications appear here once you are signed in.

Use them when the question is "did anything change while I was away". If the question is "what is happening with this wallet right now", run a tool instead.

Where to find them​

The bell sits in the top bar of the Cognivo app on every page. A red badge on the bell counts what you have not read yet. Selecting the bell opens a short dropdown of the most recent messages.

  1. Select Mark all read to clear the unread dot from every entry in the list.
  2. Select View on an entry to open the alert it came from.
  3. Select See all notifications to open the full history when the list runs longer than the dropdown.

For the full list, open Notifications under Overview in the left sidebar, or select See all notifications at the bottom of the dropdown.

The page carries the heading Notifications and the line "Your alerts, updates, and account activity." Each entry shows a title, a short description of what happened, a severity label such as Info, a New label while it is unread, and how long ago it arrived. Every entry has three actions: View opens the result it came from, the tick marks it read, and the red bin deletes it.

Use Search notifications to find an entry by wallet, token or wording, and the All dropdown to narrow the list to Unread or Read. Mark all read clears the badge on the bell in one go.

The same messages on the Alerts page​

Alerts that fired also land in the Inbox tab of the Alerts page, alongside the rules that produced them.

The Inbox has its own search box, an All filter and a Mark all as read button, and the same View, mark read and delete actions per card. Notifications is the wider list, covering account activity as well as alerts. The Inbox is the alert history on its own. See Alerts for how the rules behind them are set up.

Choosing what reaches you​

Open Settings, then Notifications in the settings list.

  1. Open Notifications in the settings list on the left to reach these controls.
  2. Look at the Telegram row to see whether your Telegram account is linked and able to receive messages.
  3. Use the switch on any row under What to notify me about to turn that kind of message on or off.

The top block shows your channels. In-app notifications is marked Active and is always on. Telegram shows Linked with your Telegram handle once you have connected it, or a Link button if you have not. Linking lets Cognivo send the same messages to you in Telegram.

Below that, What to notify me about lists switches for Profiles I follow, Announcements, Public research, Wallet alerts, Replies, Mentions, Badges & ranks and Competitions. They all start turned on. Critical security alerts is shown as Always on and cannot be switched off, because Cognivo does not hold back time sensitive security warnings.

Cadence & quiet hours holds Digest cadence, set to Real time by default with Daily and Weekly as the other choices, and Quiet hours start and Quiet hours end, both empty until you set a time. Quiet hours follow the timezone you set under Language & region.

Be aware of where this stands today. Profiles I follow is the one preference that already changes delivery. The other switches, Digest cadence and Quiet hours are saved to your account, but they do not yet change what gets sent. Turning Wallet alerts off does not stop wallet alerts arriving today, and setting quiet hours does not hold anything back yet. Treat that part of the screen as a stored preference rather than a working filter. There is also no per channel routing, so you cannot send one kind of message to Telegram and keep another in the app.

A searchable record​

Each row names the notification, the wallet and chain it relates to, its severity and when it arrived, with a copy button for the address. Use the search field and the page size control to work through a long history.

What an empty list means​

If you are signed out, Cognivo shows a sign in prompt rather than any messages. Notifications belong to your account, so nothing appears until you sign in.

If you are signed in and the list is empty, Cognivo tells you which case it is. No notifications yet means nothing has been sent to you. No matches found means your search or filter hid everything. If Cognivo cannot reach the store that holds your notifications, it says so instead of showing an empty list, so a read problem is never presented as "you have nothing".

Cost​

Receiving notifications is free, on every channel. Reading them, searching them, marking them read and deleting them are free. Setting up alerts and watch profiles is free too. You can also ask Cognivo Chat how your alerts reach you and which channels they went to, and that answer is free as well.

Only three tools in Cognivo charge credits, and only after you confirm the quoted cost: Bubble Maps at 1 credit, Smart Accounts at 2 credits and Wallet Intelligence at 6 credits. If you open a notification and run one of those from the result, you see the price and confirm before anything is charged. Every account also gets 5 free credits a day, which reset at midnight UTC.

Limitations​

  • Notifications appear only when you are signed in to your Cognivo account.
  • Alerts and the notifications they produce cover Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain and Robinhood Chain. Some tools support fewer chains than that.
  • Most notification preferences are stored but not yet applied to delivery, as described above.
  • In-app delivery cannot be turned off.
