Discover

What Discover is​

Discover is a public feed of real checks that other people are running in Cognivo. Each card is anonymized before it appears, so you see the kind of check and what it found, not who ran it.

  1. Use the search box to find live, anonymized checks other people are running right now.
  2. Narrow the feed by source, chain or tool, or reorder it, using the filters.
  3. Open a tool card to see what each Cognivo tool does, which chains it covers and its credit cost, then run it yourself.

When to use it​

Use Discover when you want to see what other people are looking at, or when you are not sure which tool answers your question. Reading a few cards is a quick way to learn what a tool returns before you spend anything running it yourself.

In the dApp sidebar, open the Community group, then Discover.

Reading the feed​

Four tabs sit above the feed: For You, Following, Trending and Latest. The feed opens on Latest.

Following is not finished yet. It shows "You are not following anyone yet" with buttons to explore trending or browse the latest, and it does not yet build a feed from the accounts you follow.

Above the cards you get a Search activity box for free text, and four filters:

  • Filter by source: Chat, dApp or Telegram.
  • Filter by chain: Ethereum, Base or BNB Chain.
  • Filter by tool.
  • Sort: Newest, Trending, Most reused or Most shared.

My saved opens the items you have kept. The feed is paged, so use Previous and Next at the bottom.

Running a card yourself​

Each card offers Run this search, Save, Copy command, a share option and Open in dApp.

Run this search starts a fresh check against current chain data. It does not reuse the result on the card, which may be hours or days old, so the answer you get can differ. Cognivo tells you the cost before it runs and charges nothing until you confirm. If a card cannot be rerun without a wallet or token address, Cognivo asks you for one first.

What you get back​

Cards carry the tool, the chain, how many times the check was rerun, saved or shared, and a short result you can expand with Show full result.

Some states are not results and mean something specific:

  • Nothing to show yet means nobody has shared public activity recently, not that Cognivo is broken.
  • No matches means your filters are too narrow. Clear them or search for something else.
  • Discover is not available yet means the feed has been turned off for now.
  • Wallet DNA reports never appear here by design. They belong to the person who ran them. Discover shows the tool itself, not anyone's report.

What you share, and how to change it​

Go to Settings, then Privacy, for the Privacy and Discover card.

  • Share my searches on Discover is on by default, and the row carries an "On by default" badge. While it is on, checks you run can appear on the public feed with your wallet and account details removed.
  • Let others find me is off by default. Turn it on if you want people to find your public profile by your Cognivo ID.
  • Show my Cognivo ID on public cards is off by default, so cards you share go out anonymously.

Below those, a Social & profile block holds six more controls, including Default publication visibility and Hide targets by default. These save to your account, but nothing reads them yet, so turning Hide targets by default on does not redact anything today.

Tuning your feed​

Settings, then Following feed, is where you set what your feed opens on and what it shows.

These choices save to your account. The feed does not read them yet, so a preferred chain or tool does not change what Discover shows today. Treat this panel as a preference you are setting for later.

Cost​

Browsing, searching and filtering Discover is free, and so is saving a card. Running a tool from a card follows that tool's normal cost. Almost everything in Cognivo is free. Only three tools charge credits: Bubble Maps at 1 credit, Smart Accounts at 2 credits and Wallet Intelligence at 6 credits. Every account gets 5 free credits a day, which reset at midnight UTC. Cognivo quotes the cost, waits for your yes, and only charges when a real result comes back. Declining or closing the dialog charges nothing.
