What this is
Cognivo can show its screens, buttons and labels in your own language. You pick the language once, and it stays that way until you change it. Wallet Tracer and Cognivo Chat each have their own language setting, so you may want to set both.
Changing the language changes the wording of the interface. It does not change the language the AI writes back to you in. The AI replies in the language you write to it in, so you can set the interface to English and still ask your questions in Spanish.
When to use it
Use this when the app is showing you a language you do not read well, when a date or a time looks wrong because it is in the wrong timezone, or when you want alert timestamps to match the clock on your wall.
Where to find it in Wallet Tracer
There are two places, and both do the same thing.
The quickest is the flag control in the top bar, which is visible on every page. Click it and pick a language from the list.
Wallet Tracer is available in twelve languages: English, Chinese (Simplified), Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Turkish, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Arabic and French. Your choice takes effect straight away and is carried in the page address, so a link you copy keeps the language you were reading in.
The second place is Settings, under Language & region. That panel holds the language control plus your timezone and date and time preferences.
- Choose Language & region in the settings list on the left.
- Check the language shown on the Language row, which is the language used across Cognivo.
- Set your timezone in the Timezone box so times appear on your own clock. Events are always tracked in UTC.
What to expect back
The language change applies across the app right away. If a small piece of text still appears in English after you switch, that string has not been translated yet. The meaning is unchanged, and nothing about your account or your results is affected.
The Timezone box controls how times are shown to you. Cognivo always records and triggers events in UTC, and the timezone setting only changes how those moments are printed on screen, in the alerts list and on alert cards. If you have never opened this screen, your timezone is UTC, not your device clock, so timestamps may look several hours off until you set it.
The timezone list is a short list of common zones, with Use device timezone at the top. If your own zone is not in the list, choose Use device timezone and Cognivo will follow the clock on the machine you are using.
The important limitation
Date format and Time format are saved but are not applied yet. Choosing Year / Month / Day or 24-hour stores your preference, and dates and times will keep rendering the way they do today. Treat those two rows as not yet in effect. Timezone is the control on this panel that changes what you see.
Changing your language, your timezone or your region preferences is free. Nothing on this screen spends credits, and no confirmation prompt appears.
Cognivo Chat
Cognivo Chat has a separate, longer language list of 37 languages. Click your name or avatar at the bottom of the left sidebar, then choose Settings, then General, then pick your language under Language.
