Zoom, Pan & Navigation
The Bubble Map is a fully interactive graph. Traces with many addresses can spread out beyond the screen, so Cognivo gives you zoom and pan controls to move around and focus on the part you care about.
Zooming
- Scroll to zoom in and out with a mouse wheel
- Pinch to zoom on a trackpad or touchscreen
Zoom in to read individual addresses and follow a specific path. Zoom out to see the overall shape of the trace and how the clusters relate.
Panning
- Drag an empty area of the map to pan and move the view around
- On a touchscreen, drag with one finger to pan
Panning keeps the current zoom level while you move to a different part of the graph.
Floating Controls
A small set of floating controls sits over the map for precise navigation:
| Control | What It Does |
|---|---|
| Zoom in | Steps the view closer |
| Zoom out | Steps the view further away |
| Fit to view | Frames the whole trace so every node is visible |
| Reset | Returns the map to its default position and zoom |
Use Fit to view after exploring to bring the entire graph back into frame, or Reset to start fresh from the default layout.
On Mobile
On mobile devices the floating controls appear as a control bar so they are easy to reach with a thumb. Pinch to zoom and drag to pan work the same way, and the control bar gives you the same zoom, fit-to-view, and reset actions.
Tips
- If you lose track of where you are, use Fit to view to see the whole trace again.
- Zoom in before clicking a node or edge on a dense map, so it is easier to select the one you want.
