Working Across Conversations
Each conversation in Cognivo Chat is independent and saved on its own. You can keep several going at once - for example, one for tracing a wallet and another for a general research question - and move between them whenever you like.
Opening a New Conversation Without Losing the Others
Starting a new conversation never closes or overwrites the ones you already have.
- Click New Chat at the top of the left sidebar.
- A fresh conversation opens and you can start typing right away.
- Your earlier conversations stay in the sidebar, exactly where you left them.
Whatever you had open before is saved automatically, so you can return to it at any time.
Switching Between Conversations
Your conversations are listed in the left sidebar, grouped by date. To switch:
- Find the conversation you want in the sidebar list.
- Click its title to reopen it.
- Continue from where you left off - the full message history is restored.
If you have many conversations, use the search bar at the top of the sidebar to find one by its content, then click the result to open it.
Keeping Track of Several Conversations
A few habits make it easier to work across many conversations:
- Rename a conversation by clicking its title, so its purpose is clear at a glance.
- Bookmark the conversations you return to often so they are quick to find.
- Tag conversations by topic and filter the sidebar by tag.
- Archive conversations you are done with to keep the sidebar focused, without deleting them.
Notes
- Each conversation keeps its own context. The AI does not carry details from one conversation into another unless you have saved them as a memory.
- Switching conversations does not interrupt a response that is still being written in another one - reopen that conversation to see the finished reply.
