What is $COGNI Gateway?
$COGNI Gateway is Cognivo's built-in set of on-chain analysis tools. They are available directly inside Cognivo Chat and are activated by asking in natural language — no commands, no code, no separate interface.
How It Works
When you ask about a wallet, transaction, contract, or block in Chat, Cognivo detects what you need and calls the appropriate Gateway tool automatically. The result appears in your conversation.
For example:
Look up the transaction 0x5c504ed432cb51138bcf09aa5e8a410dd4a1e204...
What tokens has this wallet received recently?
Analyze this contract for risks: 0x…
Summarize the last 5 blocks
You do not need to know which tool runs. Cognivo selects and calls the right one based on your question.
Some tools return summaries, others return structured data for deeper investigation.
Available Tools
| Tool | What It Does |
|---|---|
| Transaction Lookup | Retrieves details for a specific transaction by hash — value, sender, receiver, token, timestamp |
| Block Summary | Returns a summary of a specific block — transaction count, gas used, miner, timestamp |
| Wallet Activity | Shows recent inflows, outflows, and token movements for an address |
| ERC-20 Transfers | Lists token transfer events for a specific address |
| Contract Analysis | Analyzes a smart contract for safety signals, code patterns, and risk indicators |
| Trace Wallet | Initiates a fund flow trace and links the result to Wallet Tracer |
| Event Logs | Retrieves on-chain event logs for a contract address |
Credit Costs
Gateway tools consume credits. Different tools have different costs depending on the depth of analysis involved:
| Tool | Credit Cost |
|---|---|
| Quick Chain Status | 1 credit |
| Full Contract Analysis | 7 credits |
| Trace Wallet (Deep Trace) | 10 credits |
| Other Gateway tools | Varies by tool |
Free accounts receive 10 credits per day. Additional credits can be purchased from the billing page.
See Credits & Billing for a full breakdown.
Contract Analysis — Full vs Quick
Contract Analysis has two modes:
- Quick Chain Status (1 credit) — checks whether a contract is verified, active, and shows basic on-chain details
- Full Contract Analysis (7 credits) — a deeper review of the contract code, including safety signals and risk patterns
Cognivo will ask for confirmation before running a full analysis because of the higher credit cost. You can enable auto-charge in your settings to skip the confirmation step.
Trace Wallet → Wallet Tracer
When you ask Cognivo to trace a wallet, the Trace Wallet tool runs in the background and generates a direct link to the Bubble Map result in Wallet Tracer. You can open the visualization, explore the trace, and return to Chat when you're done.
See Starting a Trace from Chat and How Chat & Wallet Tracer Work Together.
