Not Verified, Not Assessed & Augmented
Cognivo uses precise status words so you always know how confident an answer is. Here is what each one means.
Status words
- Grounded — verified directly from on-chain evidence (Cognivo Grounded On-Chain Evidence). This is the authoritative basis for on-chain facts.
- Verified — Cognivo confirmed the specific signal (for example, a lock signal that was actually found).
- Not verified — Cognivo could not confirm the signal. It does not mean the opposite is true; it means the claim was not established. Example: "no active timed lock verified" means a lock was not confirmed, not that one is impossible.
- Not assessed — Cognivo did not evaluate this in the current view (for example, a pool type this surface does not read the same way). It is not the same as zero.
- Unavailable — the data could not be obtained for this request (for example, a chain or pool that this surface does not cover here).
- Partial — Cognivo could read some, but not all, of the relevant data, and reports what it could.
- Augmented — added context that is clearly labeled (Cognivo Augmented Intelligence). It supports interpretation but never overrides a grounded fact.
Why this matters
These words keep answers honest. Cognivo never treats not assessed or unavailable as if it meant "zero" or "safe," and never presents augmented context as a grounded fact. When something cannot be verified, Cognivo says so.
Quick reference
| Label | Meaning | Does it mean "safe" or "zero"? |
|---|---|---|
| Grounded | Verified on-chain | No — it states a fact, not a verdict |
| Verified | Specific signal confirmed | No |
| Not verified | Not confirmed | No — absence of confirmation only |
| Not assessed | Not evaluated here | No |
| Unavailable | Could not be obtained | No |
| Partial | Some data read | No |
| Augmented | Labeled added context | No — supporting context only |
