Sharing Prompts

Prompts you create in the Prompts Dashboard are private by default - only you can see and use them. Sharing lets you make one of your prompts available to other users so they can apply the same template to their own conversations.

Sharing a Prompt

  1. Open the Prompts Dashboard from the main navigation in Cognivo Chat.
  2. Select the prompt group you want to share from the list.
  3. Open the sharing option for that prompt.
  4. Confirm to make it shared.

Once shared, the prompt becomes visible to the users covered by the sharing option, who can then select and use it like any other prompt.

Visibility

  • Private - the default. The prompt is visible only to you.
  • Shared - the prompt is available to other users, who can use it in their own conversations.

Sharing affects who can see and use the prompt. It does not give others the ability to change your original - they work from the shared copy while you keep control of the source.

Stopping Sharing

You can return a shared prompt to private at any time from the same sharing option. After you do, it stops appearing for other users, though anyone who already used it keeps whatever they wrote in their own conversations.

Notes

  • Review the prompt text before sharing. Remove anything private, such as specific wallet addresses or personal notes, that you do not want others to see.
  • Editing a shared prompt updates the version that others see the next time they open it.
