Creating & Editing Memories

The Memories panel lets you view, search, create, edit, and delete your stored memories.

Opening the Memories Panel​

The Memories panel is in the right side panel of Cognivo Chat. Open the side panel and select the Memories section to see your stored memories.

Creating a Memory​

  1. Click + Create Memory in the Memories panel.
  2. Enter a key — use lowercase letters and underscores only (e.g., preferred_chain, analysis_style). The key must be unique across your memory store.
  3. Enter a value — the information you want stored.
  4. Click Create to save.

If the key already exists, you will see an error. Choose a different key or edit the existing memory instead.

Editing a Memory​

  1. Find the memory you want to change in the list.
  2. Click the edit icon (pencil) next to it.
  3. Update the key or value as needed.
  4. Click Save.

Deleting a Memory​

  1. Click the delete icon (trash) next to the memory.
  2. Confirm the deletion in the dialog that appears.

Deletion is immediate. Deleted memories cannot be recovered.

Searching Memories​

Use the search field at the top of the Memories panel to filter by key or value text. Results update as you type.

If you have more than 10 memories, they are paginated. Use the Previous and Next buttons to move between pages.
