Credits & Billing
Cognivo uses credits for on-chain analysis. Credits are consumed when you use $COGNI Gateway tools in Chat or run wallet traces in Wallet Tracer.
Your Credit Balance
Every account can use two types of credits:
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Free credits | 10 credits per day, automatically granted to every account. They renew daily at midnight UTC. |
| Paid credits | Purchased credits that never expire. Used only after free credits run out. |
Your total available balance is the combined sum of free and paid credits.
To view your balance:
- In Cognivo Chat — click the balance button in the top-right corner of the interface
- In Wallet Tracer — visit the billing page
Credit Costs
Each $COGNI Gateway tool and Wallet Tracer operation has a credit cost:

Quick lookups cost fewer credits than deeper analyses. Full Contract Analysis and Deep Trace require more processing, which is why they cost more.
Contract Analysis — Auto-Charge
Full Contract Analysis costs 7 credits per run. Because this is higher than most other actions, Cognivo asks for confirmation the first time you use it in a session.
You can enable Auto-charge for contract analysis so it runs without asking for confirmation each time.
To change this setting: Settings → Balance in Cognivo Chat.
Free Credit Reset
Free credits reset every day at midnight UTC. A countdown timer in your balance panel shows how long until your next reset.
If your free credits run out, Cognivo uses any paid credits on your account automatically. You are only interrupted when both free and paid credits are exhausted.
Purchasing Additional Credits
Purchase credits on the billing page in Wallet Tracer.

How to Purchase
- Go to dapp.cognivolabs.io/account/billing
- Select a credit pack
- Choose one of the supported stablecoins on Ethereum Mainnet
- A deposit address and QR code are generated for your payment
- Send the exact amount shown from your wallet within the time window
- Credits are credited to your account once the transaction confirms on-chain
Payment windows expire after 30 minutes. If your payment is not sent in time, start a new purchase from the billing page.
Send only the supported stablecoin and network shown on the billing page to the deposit address. Sending a different asset or network may result in permanent loss of funds.
Paid Credits Never Expire
Paid credits remain on your account indefinitely. They do not reset each day and do not expire.
