Account Settings

Account Settings lets you update how your name appears in conversations, manage your avatar, configure two-factor authentication, and delete your account.

To open: click your name or avatar at the bottom of the left sidebar, then select SettingsAccount.

Display Name in Conversations

Toggle Show username in messages to control whether your display name appears above your messages in the conversation view. When disabled, messages appear without the sender label.

Avatar

Click Change avatar to upload a new profile image. To remove your current avatar, use the remove option in the same panel.

Connected Wallet

If you signed in using your crypto wallet, your connected wallet address is displayed here in truncated form (e.g. 0x1234…abcd). This section is read-only.

See Sign In with Wallet for more details on wallet-based login.

Two-Factor Authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is available for accounts created with an email address and password.

remarque

If you signed in using your crypto wallet, 2FA is not available for your account. Wallet-based login is secured by your wallet's own signing mechanism.

Enabling 2FA

  1. Click Enable Two-Factor Authentication in Account Settings.
  2. Setup — Review the instructions, then click Continue.
  3. Scan QR code — Open an authenticator app on your phone and scan the QR code shown.
  4. Verify — Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app to confirm the connection.
  5. Backup codes — Copy or download your backup codes before closing this step.

After enabling 2FA, you will be asked for a one-time code from your authenticator app on every login.

Backup Codes

Backup codes are shown in Account Settings when 2FA is active. Each code can be used once to log in if you lose access to your authenticator app.

If you use all your backup codes, you can generate a new set from Account Settings.

attention

Store your backup codes in a safe place. If you lose access to both your authenticator app and your backup codes, you will be unable to log in.

Disabling 2FA

Click Disable Two-Factor Authentication to turn off 2FA. You will be asked to verify with a current authenticator code before it is disabled.

To delete your account:

  1. Click Delete in Account Settings.
  2. Type your account email address in the confirmation field to unlock the delete button.
  3. Click Delete account to confirm.
