Lifespan Tab

The Lifespan Tab shows the execution timeline for the current trace — when it started, when it finished, how long it ran, and what status it reached.

What the Lifespan Tab Shows

FieldDescription
Start timeWhen the trace began
End timeWhen the trace finished (shown only on completed or failed traces)
Elapsed timeHow long the trace took, formatted automatically (e.g. 340ms, 4s, 1m 12s)
StatusCurrent state: running, completed, or failed

Status Meanings

  • Running — The trace is still in progress. Elapsed time updates as the trace continues.
  • Completed — The trace finished and all results are available.
  • Failed — The trace did not complete. Partial results may still be visible on the Map Tab.

What the Lifespan Tab Does Not Indicate

Elapsed time reflects execution duration only. A longer trace is not necessarily more thorough than a shorter one.
